Fairtrade Fortnight is a two-week annual campaign that shines a spotlight on Fairtrade and encourages people to make ethical purchasing choices. It celebrates the positive impact of Fairtrade on farmers and workers in developing countries by promoting fair prices, safe working conditions, and sustainable farming practices.
What Fairtrade Fortnight is all about:
- Focuses on building a fairer, more sustainable global trading system.
- Educates consumers on the benefits of Fairtrade and its impact on producers.
- Shares real stories of how Fairtrade improves living standards and working conditions.
- Encourages buying Fairtrade products, supporting fair-minded businesses, and advocating for fairer trade practices.
- Brings people together through school programs, local events, business promotions, and community campaigns.
- Each year has a specific theme highlighting issues faced by producers, with events and activities designed to address them. In 2024, the theme is Fair for All. Fair for Farmers.
- A time to recognise how Fairtrade has transformed lives and communities worldwide.
