Made from two varietals: Caturra, which delivers a bright flavour, & Typica, with its notes of chocolate & nut, complemented by hints of spice.
Origin story
From Mexico's Pacific Coast up to the Sierra Madre Mountains, Nayarit is an agricultural state of stunning geologic diversity; the convergence of altitude, volcanic soil, and sparse population results in numerous microclimates suitable for coffee cultivation.
Working as a Co-op GTNay allows coffee producers and their communities to have more negotiating power for bank loans, organisational memory, access to shared resources, and more risk tolerance.
A unique bio-factory:
GTNay also run a unique ‘bio-factory’at their HQ in the city of Tepic. Run like a micro-enterprise within the organisation, it offers members organic soil products, fertilisers & pest control organisms
During the 2023 harvest, for the 1st time, producers applied these products directly to the soil at the base of coffee trees & yields were greatly improved.
