Every single roast gets the full treatment: sensory evaluation meets hard data as we cross-reference our cupping notes with the exhaustive temperature curves, airflow readings, and timing logs captured by our roasting equipment and dedicated software.

No pre roast blending
At Jasper Coffee, we roast every single-origin batch individually to honor each coffee's unique character. These perfectly developed profiles become the foundation for our signature blends, recipes refined through years of careful experimentation.
This quality-first approach means countless hours of precision roasting go into every bag you take home. We could cut corners, but those extra steps and obsessive attention to detail make the difference between good coffee and the kind that stops conversations mid-sentence.

Jasper Coffee uses an incredible recirculating air roaster: The Loring Smartroaster from California.
…defiantly energy efficient and without need for power guzzling afterburners.
In a close urban environment, we have taken account of the need to respect our neighbours and to limit odours and emissions.
It's not only about making sure we roast responsibly, this thing is an incredible work of engineering that monitors every step in our roasting, helping us bring each batch out perfectly.

4 key certifications you should look for when seeking a quality focussed ethical coffee roaster
While our first quest is to cup the coffees daily, we also have 4 key Certifications to comply with. These Certifications are extremely important and audited annually by external bodies.

B Corp
We have met the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, governance and accountability, and so we have used the power of markets and relationships to help solve just some social and environmental problems.
This Certification sits above and compliments Fairtrade, Organic and Carbon Neutral and truly demonstrates that we care about the way we operate and think.
This Certification is an acclamation that our business is a force for good. Through our products and practices, we aspire and demonstrate benefits and relationship for our stakeholders.
In this, Jasper Coffee recognises that we are merely a conduit between the Coffee Producers and the Consumers. Through our efforts we have supported communities at origin who struggle to become self- sufficient.
Our Company, along with all our staff, accept that we all rely on each other to sustain a livelihood where environment, product, sales and quality of life and workplace, all matter. So beyond the manifestation of Fairtrade, Organic, Carbon Neutrality, Jasper Coffee now harnesses all these significant milestones under the umbrella of B Corp.

Organic
Our Organic compliance, we must separate all Organic products from conventional so there can be no cross contamination.
We must have a separating barrier of clean paper between the sack of green beans and the wooden pallet. We have separate scoops and batch bins and Organic cleaning products.
We are also required to purge our packing machine prior to packing our Organic coffees.

HACCP
HACCP’ stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, and is a food safety and risk assessment plan that was initially developed in the 1960s by NASA and a group of food safety specialists.
These two groups came together to solve two critical problems facing NASA's crewed space missions: crumbs and disease-producing microorganisms (e.g. bacteria, viruses) or toxins.
Today, HACCP principles form the basis of Food Safety Programs that are accepted worldwide.
HACCP principles are applied to processes throughout every stage of our coffee roasting and packing. They are used to manage food safety across our coffee production facilities.

Our Fair Trade compliance we must batch code every roast and record every component of every blend.
This means that Jasper Coffee can also recognise all coffees going to every customer and track it back to roast batch.
You can drink in peace, knowing that our Fairtrade coffee growers have been paid well and are getting the benefits of a system designed to help improve lives for generations to come.
