It is one of 12 stations operated by Baragwi Farmers’ Co-operative Society, which has brought local growers together since 1953. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s2\"\u003eEach farmer tends their own small plot, while the cooperative shares processing facilities, training and knowledge. They are carefully sorted, pulped and fermented overnight, then washed and separated into grades. Across the wider cooperative, growers work to protect wetlands and tree-lined waterways, plant native shade trees and reduce harmful agricultural chemicals. Baragwi has also invested in metal drying beds, solar dryers and more efficient processing equipment. Healthy land is not a charming extra here. It is where better coffee begins, and what helps ensure it can continue for generations.
